Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:
Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering. Candidates with post-graduate degree or qualification in management/finance/commerce is preferred.
Recent and extensive industrial business experience as an entrepreneur or senior manager – preferably in SMEs – in advanced manufacturing, automation and control or material fabrication with focus in one or more of the following:
• Advanced manufacturing and modelling
• Advanced material fabrication including ceramic, fiberglass, polymer, composite…etc.
• Welding applications and technologies
• Industrial automation, mechatronics
• Machinery and manufacturing process design
Recent and extensive private sector experience in developing and commercializing innovative products or services, with demonstrable outcomes and values for clients.
Experience in business development and client communication will be considered an asset.
Experience in international business development and/or intellectual property management will be considered an asset.
Condition of employment
Candidates will be assessed on the basis of the following criteria:
Basic knowledge of NRC-IRAP's mandate, mission and business model.
Solid knowledge of project management.
Solid knowledge of SME management, marketing of technology and productivity increase.
Solid knowledge of developing, adapting and adopting technologies.
Advanced knowledge of technology, innovation and commercialization issues within the sector and of the region related to the position.
